John Giorno and Obsolete Media Miami

The Warhol-collaborator and legendary artist/poet is back in Miami as ICA Miami and O, Miami present an evening with the poet and performance artist. A frequent collaborator with icons of experimental American art Giorno was the star of Andy Warhol's film Sleep (1963). 

Prior to Giorno's reading, Miami's Obsolete Media Miami will present a special 16mm film utilizing three slide screens of various sizes set upon the staircase, (108) 35mm slides, 16mm Andy Warhol screen tests from the MOMA Circulating library and vintage polarized slides. 

Obsolete Media Miami (OMM) is the film and slide based archive curated by artists Kevin Arrow and Barron Sherer.

Tonight Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer appear at Soundscape Park for a WALLCAST of the psychological thriller What Lies Beneath, released in 2000. Directed by Robert Zemickis the film follows the story of well-to-do couple Dr. Norman Spencer and his wife who experience a strange haunting that starts to uncover secrets about their past.

NWS WALLCAST The Mahler Legacy

The New World Symphony celebrates Earth Month with the second-to-last WALLCAST™ of the season: The Mahler Legacy: The Song of the Earth WALLCAST™ Concert, presented by Citi. Conductor Michael Tilson Thomas offers his interpretation of Mahler through a presentation of The Song of the Earth, a piece that is said to have reflected a dark time in Mahler's life. The performance starts at 8:00 pm on the lawn.
