John Derian speaks with Cristina Favretto, head of Special Collections at the University of Miami Libraries, and Amanda Keeley of EXILE Books at Books & Books in Bal Harbour. For years, the artist and designer has transformed printed images sourced from 19th-century books into collectible home goods. His vision spans four stores and retailers across the globe, bringing his signature decoupage technique into homes across the world.

Newly published, John Derian Picture Book compounds years of the artists' work, bringing together 400 images that have appeared in his collections. The result is a beautiful assortment of beautiful flowers, brightly-colored birds and hand-drawn lettering that showcases how Derian has elevated decoupage to a fine art.
