Raquel Mocholi started Shambhala Love after years exploring the fields of design – turning her interest in healing foods, yoga and meditation into a holistic lifestyle that she now shares through coaching sessions and classes. She is a certified Holistic Health coach and has studied macrobiotics, raw food, and energetic nutrition. Here she gives us some insights to her version of wellness and shares a recipe to give your body a little self love.
Where did the name Shambhala love come from?
Shambhala is a Sanskrit term meaning “place of inner peace” and love is the universal language of the soul, so when creating my company it made so much sense to base it on something that was so strong to me and to most of the women I was already coaching. Women want to feel inner peace, as the pathway to a purposeful life, grace and true beauty.
What is your approach to wellness?
To me health and wellness are based on my own approach to Beauty Food. As a lifestyle destination that is Shambhala Love, I love to spread this concept of creating beautiful long lasting experiences with the self. It goes way beyond of what we eat. You can eat kale 7 days per week and feel miserable, unhappy. It’s an exquisite balance of nourishing foods and thoughts; it’s movement, feelings, daily rituals and life experiences. We want to feel alive, to feel loved and create moments that will activate our biochemistry, feeling the beautiful meaning in our lives.
Can you share with us a secret wellness tip?
Adaptogens are the “thing” to watch in wellness. They are herbal ingredients widely used for centuries. Rooted in ancient wisdom traditions like Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, these plants help the body to cope with stress, anxiety, fatigue, naturally balance hormones adapting to your specific body’s needs.
