The ID Project at Lowe Art Museum

exile-books-the-id-project.jpg

This week EXILE Books partners with the Lowe art museum for the launch of The ID Project - a pop-up exhibition and experimental space that will remain open until April of next year. The project explores notions of identity through art and written word by encouraging visitors to reflect and explore the topic with interactive media and identity-centric books and zines available in the EXILE library.

Opening night also includes several interactive activities, including the creation of self-portraits, poetry, 3D paper masks, and a personal musical beat that allows visitors to engage in the self-reflection on the subject matter.

The ID Project is co-curated by Jill Deupi, Beaux Arts Director and Chief Curator of the Lowe; Cristina Favretto, Head of Special Collections at University of Miami; and Amanda Keeley, Founder of EXILE Books.
