During Miami's annual Miami Spa Month, participating spas offer relaxing and refreshing treatments for as low as $99. So indulge in the last bit of summer and treat yourself to a facial, a massage or a full day out.

The Spa at Miami Beach EDITION
For $139 a person, the spa inside the EDITION hotel offers a three-in-one spa package including a signature manicure and pedicure and 30-minute organic facial massage. For a more therapeutic treatment with lasting effects book the 50-minute hot stone massage, which includes a complimentary fragrance sampler kit by Le Labo - all for $109. Spa guests also have access to the infrared sauna and steam shower.

Lapis Spa at Fontainebleau 
Lapis Spa at Fontainebleau is an expansive space devoted to health and wellness where guests can combine their treatments with the spa's many amenities – including the spa's signature water journey which includes steam room, rain room, immersion bath and mineral pool. In addition, spa guests get access to the Fontainebleau’s pool, beach, and gym along with discounts on valet parking and personal styling services, including a cut and color service. The Faena's spa, Tierra Santa Healing House, is a new South American-inspired spa with a one-of-a-kind approach to holistic wellness. Located on the third floor, the spa includes an extensive wet spa complete with varying water, heat and steam rooms and a hammam, alongside direct access to the pool and beach. Opt for the signature massage – a 50-minute deep-tissue treatment that uses warm babassu butter from the Brazilian palm tree, known to alleviate aches and pains. For $60 more you can extend the massage to 80 minutes and add a DIY ritual that includes a choice of muds, scrubs, butters, and oils to use in the wet spa.

O Cinema Scares with Popcorn Frights Festival

This weekend O Cinema teams up with Popcorn Frights for a three-day indie horror fest showcasing the best in the latest horror flicks. Screenings this year include several Florida premiere's of award-winning and acclaimed horror films including Carnage Park and Fear Inc. 

Festival favorites include The Blackcoat's Daughter, about two young students at a prestigious prep school for girls who are assailed by an evil, invisible power. The film stars Emma Roberts and young actress Kiernan Shipka and features music by Elvis Perkins.  

For a lively horror homage, director Danny Perez’s Antibirth starring Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the New Black) and Chloe Sevigny (American Psycho) includes a monster pregnancy, alien abductions, and covert operatives. 

In additional to feature-length films screenings include shorts - Metube 2 is about the biggest, boldest, and sexiest operatic flash mob on the internet.

Vizcaya at Twilight with Whirl

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens presents a special twilight performance after dark by Processional Arts Workshop (PAW). PAW artists – in collaboration with members of the local Miami community – have created illuminated structures inspired by the works fantastical seascapes of American muralist Robert Winthrop Chanler. The sculptures are placed throughout Vizcaya’s Main House and gardens, brought to life as a wandering menagerie on the historic property. PAW has put on shows at the High Line in New York, at Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and in Istanbul and Trinidad.
