Celebrate the opening of Julio Le Parc: Form into Action with a live performance by eccentric electric rock band Jacuzzi Boys on Thursday, November 17th at the PAMM.

Julio Le Parc is an Argentinian artist born in 1928, known for his avant-garde works with a political bent. He co-founded Groupe de Recherche d’Art Visuel (GRAV) in 1960. Although the group dissolved in 1968, Le Parc continued to work simultaneously as an individual artist and as part of international collaboratives, particularly those involved in politically denouncing totalitarian regimes.  Throughout his life, he has served as a important conduit between Latin American activist artists and the Paris art scene.

Representing Argentina at the 1966 Venice Biennale, Le Parc won the Grand International Prize for Painting as an individual artist. And his work has been the subject of numerous shows in both Europe and Latin America.
