HistoryMiami Alfred Browning Parker Exhibit
/In celebration of the 100th year of Alfred Browning Parker's birth HistoryMiami Museum presents The Discipline of Nature exploring the life and design of the iconic architect. Best known for his modern residential designs, Alfred Browning Parker was a prolific architect whose projects number in the hundreds in the span of his 60 year career.
He is famous for the “tropex-pansible home", constructed with high quality modular parts and known for developing the "tropical modern" style that is still prevalent in South Florida design today.
The museum exhibit features original drawings, archival designs, and showcases his use of natural materials to create harmony between his works and their surroundings. The HistoryMIami Museum exhibit opens Saturday, September 24 at 6:00 pm.
