The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum opens Narciso Rodriguez: An Exercise in Minimalism, its inaugural couture exhibition, on now until January 8, 2017.

The exhibit features 40 garments and purses alongside a variety of works of arts that illustrate how the Cuban-Amercian designer blends together his minimalist style with intricate garments that focus on structure, texture and clean lines.

A favorite of celebrities such as Claire Danes and first lady Michelle Obama, Rodriguez received international acclaim when he designed the bias-cut sheath wedding dress Carolyn Bessette wore when she married John Kennedy, Jr. in 1996.

Though Narciso Rodriguez is widely-regarded in the fashion industry, this will be his first solo exhibition documenting the evolution of his work. The exhibit is co-curated by Alex Gonzalez, the Creative Director of ELLE Magazine, in partnership with the Frost’s curator Klaudio Rodriguez.
